Free Palestine - the Melbourne protests
I am documenting the protest movement for #FreePalestine that is taking place in Naarm/Melbourne on the unceded lands of the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung people.
Tens of thousands of Melbournians have taken to the streets of Melbourne every Sunday for several weeks. I am capturing their sentiments through a series of portraits.
If I have taken your photograph, I would like to hear from you. I want to tell the stories of the people who come out on the street to raise their voice for Palestine.
#FreePalestine rally and march, 5 November 2023
Today - 5 November 2023 - is the one month anniversary of the large protest rallies in Melbourne calling for a ceasefire in Gaza and the end to Israeli aggression. So far more than 10,000 have been killed, including 3000 or more children, by Israeli bombs.
Today, again, Melbourne showed up. Over 50,000 of us marched through the city with passion, anger, and determination.
Anthony Albanese is a target of our anger. He has refused to condemn Israeli war crimes and continues to support the genocide in Gaza.
We will not forget.
Protesting PM Albanese in Melbourne 2 November
While Gaza was being bombed without mercy, Albo dined with a bunch of bosses at Crown Casino in Melbourne. We are committed to hounding this rotten scoundrel everywhere he goes.
